***Unfortunately this event has been canceled for 2012***
Please join us for an event in memory of Tom Gerszewski supporting ALS “Lou Gehrig’s disease” research.
In December 2011, our longtime friend and IBM colleague Tom Gerszewski lost his battle before a cure could be found for the neurological disease that inflicted him. But while he was with us, Tom wanted to take this negative in his life and do something positive with it in a way that would make a difference in the fight against ALS. His solution, play golf! “…we can raise money for the fight against ALS and have some fun with it!” And so Tom helped to create, and was the inspiration behind the “Chip In to Fight ALS” golf outing to raise awareness and funds to help find a cure for ALS.
And so, we are excited to build upon the tremendous success of last year’s inaugural “Chip In to fight ALS” golf outing. Of course it was only successful because of the many friends, colleagues, donors, volunteers, sponsors, and participants that invested time and resources in a cause to help others inflicted by this debilitating disease. With your help, we can once again make an impact in this area of great need.
Proceeds from this event will go directly to ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI), a research lab committed to finding a cure for ALS. You can find out more about this organization by visiting www.ALS.net. A portion of the raffle proceeds will be donated to the Gerszewski Family College Fund.
